Description

Academy Award-winner Jodie Foster plays Linda, a young woman who works in a pet store in the lower middle-class New York neighbourhood of the Bronx in the early '60s.

Heinz (John Turturro), a psychotic man who is obsessed with Linda and had previously tried to rape her, is released from prison and once again begins to stalk her. Linda's only source of help is her ex-boyfriend Harry (Tim Robbins) who did rescue her the last time but who has now become a non-violent pacifist. But Harry soon finds himself in a morally compromising situation where violence might be the only solution.
